Membership: How It Works
Personalized Fitness Programs
Our certified personal trainers design a unique fitness program for every member. In order to create a personalized program, we need to gather some information about your health and fitness background.
Our registration process takes new members through a survey with questions regarding the following:
- Age, weight, height
- Exercise history and current practices
- Fitness level
- Fitness goals
- Available equipment
- Desired frequency (time allotment)
- Medical history
Using these answers, we will create a profile and develop a unique fitness program tailored to your needs. We divide your program into individual workouts that will increase in intensity and difficulty over the course of your membership. The frequency of workouts will depend on your answers to the questionnaire. In general, we recommend 2-3 times per week for optimum results.
The Benefits of Membership
Onboard Fitness offers a variety of memberships and packages. Every membership includes a personalized fitness program and workouts that will be emailed to you every three weeks.
Using our website, each member can access a personal online training calendar, results data tracker, and a history of all past workouts. Using the training calendar, each member can contact their trainer or leave them a message, track the results of each workout, and send feedback or questions about their personal program.
- We have found most exercisers are more successful achieving fitness goals when using a tailored program
- We design programs for all fitness levels and for all workout environments (on your boat, at home, in the gym, or on the road)
- Depending on your preference, each work out can use a variety of exercise equipment, or no equipment at all
Steps to Get Onboard
- Determine the membership package that is right for you.
- Complete a quick health and equipment questionnaire to help us understand your fitness level, goals, and available equipment.
- Visit our store and purchase equipment that will help you reach your fitness goals.
What to Expect
Once we receive your membership information and completed questionnaire, we will create your profile and develop your personalized fitness program.
- Your first workout will be emailed to you within 2-5 business days.
- You will receive your login and password (allowing you access to your training calendar and posted workouts) in a separate email within 2-5 business days.
- Additional workouts will be emailed every three weeks following your original sign up date for the duration of your membership. Scheduled workouts falling on a weekend/holiday will be emailed the next business day.
- If you signed up for a package that included equipment, we will mail your Xertubes after we create your program and decide what resistance levels will be of the most benefit. It can take up to two weeks to receive your equipment so your first workout will be customized with this in mind.
